Australian Medical School Interviews happen right after major high school exams.
It’s no coincidence that medical school interviews in Australia often take place soon after the completion of high school exams. For instance in 2024, the Higher School Certificate (HSC) finishes on Friday, 8th November, South Australia’s Certificate of Education (SACE) concludes on Friday, 15th November, and Victoria’s Certificate of Education (VCE) wraps up on Wednesday, 20th November. Schools schedule interviews soon after to quickly assess applicants as they are with minimal preparation. This always catches students off guard every single year as they don’t have much time to prepare.
